If there’s something that all New Yorkers can agree on, it’s the fact that you can find so many amazing waterfront gems out in our Finger Lakes region. Those who have had the pleasure of exploring specifically around Keuka Lake know that out this way you’ll discover gorgeous scenery and peace and quiet here. Home to a historical hidden gem that you’ll wish you had known about sooner, take a look at this one chapel in our state that’s absolutely stunning.
Sitting on land that was once producing grapes for one of the largest wine producers in the world, the Garrett Memorial Chapel is an absolute beauty.
Inside the chapel you'll find breathtaking stained glass windows which were the last ones to ever be created by artist Frederick Wilson and enough room for 75 people.
Outside where you can get a view of the water, you'll find beautiful stone archways that are popular to photograph amongst visitors who come to see the chapel.
Also known to many as the Little Chapel on the Mount, Garrett Memorial Chapel maintains its wedding season from May through the end of September of each year.
An exclusive spot to get married, the chapel only hosts a total of 15 weddings each year. Luckily for those who have their eye on this spot, you'll be able to see on the chapel's wedding calendar that there are still quite a few available dates left for 2018. You also might be excited to hear that the chapel's been known to host live music events during the summer. The chapel is the last significant remnant of Garret and Company, the Garrett family's business that was known for producing wine in the area. There's also no shock in learning that the Garrett Memorial Chapel can also be found on the National Register of Historic Places!
