Double M's Haunted Hayride Is A New York Halloween Wonderland

Out of all of the four seasons that we get the pleasure of experiencing up here in New York, the transition to fall is one of the most exciting if you ask me. Between the refreshing cool air, colorful foliage, and delicious apple orchards opening up again for the year, there are so many reasons to be excited about the arrival of fall. But we can’t forget about the other adventurous way to ring in the season, and that’s with the celebration of Halloween.

By day, this Upstate New York farm operates as a delightful little Western store but by night, Double M turns into a Halloween Wonderland during this time of year that draws in curious New Yorkers from all over the state. Prepared for a spooktacular event? Then hold on tight, because this is one night you and your friends will never forget.

Feast your eyes on Double M's Haunted Hayride, a haunted farm that transitions into a Halloween oasis by night during the fall each year.

Located in Saratoga County in the town of Ballston Spa, Double M features the legend of Scary Harry - a ghost cowboy whose presence looms large over the farm.

After entering the farm, you'll go for a ride on a tractor-drawn wagon that leads you through the dark woods and may even have a few terrifying passengers waiting for you on board.

After surviving the hayride, you'll get out and begin to continue the rest of this Halloween adventure on foot.

Visitors will walk over to the Walking Undead - a zombie-filled prison that you'll have to do your best to escape from. You'll feel like you're in an episode of one of your favorite TV shows!

Once you escape the prison, you'll head over to Brutality - a deep woods compound where a torturous family resides. If you're brave enough to make it out of there, you'll have to then face The Last Inn - a chilling residence where guests are known to disappear.

If you've managed to still hang on tight to this ride, you'll have to then face the Outage - a total blackout experience in the dark where only your senses will be able to get you out of here. Talk about putting your fears to the test!

Ending off the night with a real bang, after all the festivities you'll unwind by heading over to the Midway area to see the Schadenfreude Circus - a sideshow that always leaves guests both frightened and impressed.
