There is little more synonymous with autumn in New York than apples, and no better way to celebrate the season than with a visit to one of the state’s most charming apple orchards. If apples are your favorite fruit or fall is your favorite season, you’ll want to make the trip out to Goold Orchards this weekend — October 13th and 14th, 2018 — for their annual Apple Festival. Let’s check it out, shall we?
Located near Albany in upstate New York, Goold Orchards is one of our favorite day trip destinations.
Family-owned for more than a century, Goold Orchards grows, harvests, and sells only the highest quality apples and the freshest-pressed apple cider around.
And while Goold Orchards has extended hours in the fall, anyone who visits during the 30th Annual Apple Festival and Craft Festival held October 13th and 14th from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. will be treated to a day full of family fun.
In addition to apple picking, you’ll discover a variety of apple products sure to satisfy your taste buds, from their famous apple cider freshly pressed in their mill the old-fashioned way…
Admission to the 30th Annual Apple Festival at Goold Orchards is $10 for adults and children over the age of 12. Kids under 12 years of age get in free. Parking is also free, and the event will be held rain or shine.
Goold Orchards is located at 1297 Brookview Station Rd., Castleton on Hudson, NY 12033, and is open daily from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. For more information, visit their website or follow them on Facebook.
