Time and time again, East Aurora in Erie County has proven to be one of the most charming towns that you can visit in not only New York – but the entire country. Throughout town, you’ll find parks, historic sites, places to eat and stay, but one of our favorite reasons to visit this area lies right on Main Street. Check it out!
Earning the title of being the world's largest 5 & 10 variety store, Vidler's takes up four connected buildings on Main Street.
Covering a total of 16,000-square feet, Vidler's features over 75,000 items for you to shop around for. No, that's not a typo - there's really that much here.
As soon as you walk into any one of Vidler's entrances, you'll feel the old-school charm that lives here in the store. Feel free to grab a bag of fresh popcorn on your way in or out!
The store features a whole Toyland department that's exciting for both the young and the old to sort through, with everything from modern Disney toys to vintage toys like yo-yo's and slinky's in stock as well.
Another thing about Vidler's is that you'll easily begin to feel quite thirsty and hungry while you're here, with an entire wall of unique beverages that will intrigue you with their quirky flavors.
And don't forget to grab something for your sweet tooth while you're here, Vidler's has plenty of chocolate sweets and jars full of candy that you'll want to bring home with you.
So if you're ready to spend the day shopping through all four of the buildings that make up Vidler's 5 & 10, it's time you plan your next trip out to East Aurora.
For many of us in New York, we've had generations of people in our families shopping here at Vidler's. If you've yet to experience this epic store for yourself though, you'll want to check it out sooner than later! To find out more about Vidler's, click here.
