The month of October isn’t over just yet and there’s still plenty of time to enjoy all of your favorite spooky attractions. All throughout the Empire State during this time of year, we see some of our most historical destinations transform into something new anad spooktacular. If you make your way out to the town of Bellport though, you’ll find that the region’s oldest theater truly emerges into something completely new and terrifying once the fall season rolls around. If you’re ready to see why so many people consider this to be one of our state’s best haunted houses, it’s time you get acquainted with Gateway’s Haunted Playhouse.
Gateway's Playhouse is the oldest theater on Long Island, yet also happens to transform into one of the country’s best haunted houses during the fall season.
The haunted playhouse began spooking New Yorkers back in 2007 as a two week-long event, having since grown to be six weeks-long and one of New York State’s most notable haunted attractions.
To those who come out to Gateway, before you dive into the haunted playhouse you’ll get to check out The Midway - where a nightmare crawl with food, drinks, and spooky attractions awaits you.
Each year the haunted theater takes on new themes, so even if you've already visited this haunted attraction in the past, you can always expect to see something new.
For starters on October 23rd they’re having a special Zombie Apocalypse event where zombies will invade the haunted playhouse, while on the 24th, you’ll find a Clown Invasion...
...the 29th will feature Hollywood Horrors where you’ll encounter your favorite famous characters, and finally a Glowstick Night on the 30th where you’ll have only a single glowstick to guide you through the playhouse - no lights!
A chilling destination where dozens of professionally trained actors will come out and put on a spooktacular show, there's nothing else quite like Gateway's Haunted Playhouse.
