If you’ve had the pleasure of living in New York State for quite some time now, then you’ve more than likely dined at one or two unusual restaurants. Whether they’re purposefully full of whimsical features or manage to provide a quirky dining experience without even trying, there are some restaurants that just stick out in your memories more than others. If you’re ready to walk into another unusual dining destination that’s hiding in plain sight, then see why there’s no better place to check out than this eclectic garage restaurant in our home state.
A spot that's been around for nearly 20 years now, feast your eyes on New York's Tailer Park Lounge.
From the outside, this might just look like a vibrant car shop or some sort of strange storefront, but the Trailer Park Lounge is one of the most delicious and unique stops that you can make when you're in New York.
From the moment you walk into this eclectic garage, you'll be greeted by a vintage photo booth and a display case full of nostalgic goods that you'll want to gaze into all day long.
The fun doesn't end there though, the entire restaurant from ceiling to floor is decorated in things you would never think you'd find inside of a restaurant or bar. Just take a look at the bathtub behind the bar that's full of ice, beer, and even a chill mannequin!
It's not just the decor that's fun here though, even the food comes served up in the most exciting of ways. Who knew your new standard for dining would be to grab your food off of a pirate ship?
Since opening in 2000, the Trailer Park in has welcomed loyal customers thanks to their ambiance and things like their homemade chili and loaded tater tots that people go wild for.
Did we also mention the fact that the Trailer Park Lounge wouldn't be what it is without the actual trailer that's inside of the restaurant, where local mannequins have taken up residence.
Play a tune from the jukebox or stare at all the vintage memorabilia that are displayed all over the walls, it's always a fun time at the Trailer Park Lounge in New York.
