The best things in life aren’t always free — taking a trip to an attraction in New York often involves opening your wallet! Check out this list of natural wonders in New York that you can see for free:

Ausable Chasm, NY 12911, USA
The "Little Grand Canyon of the East" is one of the most amazing attractions in New York. There are some wonderful paid tours you can take that involve hiking or rafting. But this is a natural wonder you can see for free, at least from one viewpoint. The view from the bridge is one of the best you can get. If you park your car on one side and walk back across the bridge, make sure to bring your camera!

Taughannock Falls, Ulysses, NY 14886, USA
This 215-foot behemoth is taller than even Niagara Falls! You do have to pay a small entrance fee to get into the state park that contains the falls. If you don't feel like hiking or are short on cash, the overlook just outside the park's entrance provides a great (and free!) view.
