As often as we love to highlight the newest restaurants that you can find in our state, we equally enjoying showcasing to our readers the unique dining destinations that you can find in New York that have histories that date back a bit farther. Leading you out towards Central New York where you’re less than an hour away from places like Amsterdam and Cooperstown, it’s time to uncover all of the charming attractions that you can find within this historic farmhouse bistro.
Out in the small town of Cobleskill, Grapevine Farms is so much more than meets the eye.
After the historic 1850s farmhouse had been left abandoned by its previous owner, the current owners renovated this piece of the past and transformed it into Grapevine Farms - opening up back in the fall of 2002.
Now operating in Schoharie County for nearly 20 years, Grapevine Farms is made up of three floors and several attractions, but is most importantly a delicious boutique bistro.
Serving lunch daily, you'll get to dine inside this charming farmhouse that's decorated with family photos, heirlooms, and all sorts of details that will make you feel right at home.
The menu at Grapevine Farms changes twice throughout the year but currently you can expect to find delicious dishes like their Homemade Quiche of the Day, Hummus and Olive Boards, Soups...
If it's at all possible, you'll also want to save room for dessert because Grapevine Farms has been known to have the locally famous Schoharie County Chocolate Jumble Cookie, as well as other homemade cookies, ice cream sundaes, cakes, pies, floats, milkshakes, and all kinds of desserts that you'll be happy to take home with you.
If the amazing Mimosas, Bloody Marys, Electric Lemonades, Coconut Rum Punch, and Martinis from the boutique bistro and coffee bar weren't enough to quench your thirst, there's another stop you can make before you leave the farmhouse.
Head around back and low and behold, you'll find a Wine Cellar that only has New York wines. The Wine Cellar at Grapevine Farms offers complimentary daily tastings and is more than worth checking out.
So whether you come here to dine in the boutique bistro, shop in the gift store, or enjoy a tour and tasting in the wine cellar, Grapevine Farms has you covered.
