Rochester may be one of our largest cities in New York, but all around this urban area, you can find a ton of hidden outdoor adventures that are just a quick drive away. Less than a half-hour south of the city, you can explore one of the most magical trails in all of Monroe County. Prepare to be wowed!
Covering nearly 70-acres of land, Tinker Nature Park looks ironically enough like a place where you would most likely find the famous Tinkerbell herself!
A beautiful place to explore, Tinker Nature Park is a great local spot to check out for short and easy hiking trails that will lead you into the woods.
A popular place to run into wildlife, it won't be the nature park's up-close encounters with deer that will leave you feeling like you've stepped into a wonderland.
As you walk through the woods you'll see everything from fairy doors on treetops to actual fairy homes situated on tree stumps, and things like fairy ladders and swings decorated all over the trees.
While some of the fairy doors and homes feature eye-catching colors, others more easily blend in with nature - making them harder to find and a fun adventure to keep an eye out for!
If you're looking for an easy outdoor adventure that the entire family can take on without any struggle, then head to Tinker Nature Park. While exploring the trails you can make a game out of seeing who can find the most fairy houses and doors first, or simply soak in the charming scenery that you don't typically find at your average park. Open from sunrise to sunset every day of the week, there's no reason to put off taking a walk through this New York nature park.
How to get here:
1525 Calkins Rd,
Pittsford, NY 14534
