Whether you’ve got a Triceratops-obsessed kid or you’re a kid at heart that loves dinosaurs, there are few creatures that inspire as much interest as these prehistoric beasts. For those looking to experience a real-life Jurassic Park in New York, there’s no better place than Dino Roar Valley. Dino Roar Valley is located at Lake George Expedition Park. The park has an educational trail with life-sized dinosaur models at every turn.
You may remember this area as the Magic Forest, an old amusement park. The Magic Forest actually still exists nearby and admission to that park is included with a Dino Roar Valley ticket.
Each dinosaur model has an informational sign nearby stating facts about the species. Kids and adults alike are sure to learn something here in this land of educational entertainment.
The trail that the models are placed along is only about a half-mile long, so it's great for even young kids in strollers. The trail is also wheelchair-accessible.
For an additional fee, kids can dig at a Dino Dig Site and uncover bones, just like a real life paleontologist. There's also a stage for presentations. Educational workshops are regularly held at the park.
It's amazing to think that millions of years ago, actual dinosaurs roamed this same area. You can almost close your eyes and feel the earth shaking under their enormous footsteps.
Many of the dinosaurs at the park are animatronic and move or even growl as people walk by. You'll feel like you stepped onto the set of Jurassic Park!
