There are dozens of fantastic breweries across the state of New York, and now that fall has arrived, it makes for a lineup of all kinds of funky, festive brews. No matter where you are in New York, chances are there’s a delicious fall-themed beer for you. Here are some of our favorites.

It has been called "a pumpkin pie in a beer," and it's a fall favorite at Ellicottville Brewing Company, a hotspot for beer lovers just south of Buffalo.
Head to Genessee Brew House in Rochester to try their Oktoberfest, but it's far from their only German beer. They've also got a German Pilsner and German Chocolate Cake Stout.
You've probably never had a doughnut-flavored beer, and you've definitely never had one this tasty. Calling all New York City-dwellers: take a short train ride up to Ridgewood for one of the most unique dessert-flavored brews of the season.
Speaking of desserts, Buffalo's 42 North Brewing Company has crafted some pretty unique flavors, including a delicious Oatmeal Cookie Brown Ale that will hit you with just the right amount of nostalgia.
For those who want to shake it up from the typical beer lineup, Angry Orchard, one of the premiere makers of cider in the country, makes a Crisp Apple Hard Cider that's pretty hard to turn down this time of year. You can find their ciders just about anywhere, but the Cidery is located in Walden, NY, about two hours north of New York City.
You don't always need a campfire to enjoy a delicious s'more, and Saranac Brewery in Utica is making the classic campfire ritual available right at the bar. If that doesn't sound like your kind of brew, try the Caramel Porter or one of their many hard ciders.
Chocolate Raspberry Stout, Raquette River Brewing (Tupper Lake)
Raquette River Brewing is tucked away in Tupper Lake in the Adirondacks, and it's considered one of the best breweries in the region. You won't find a more heart-warming brew than Raquette River's Chocolate Raspberry Stout.
This is only a short list to get you started, and there are tons of other fantastic brews across the state. In Albany, Fort Orange Brewing and Druthers Brewing Company are a couple of gems with a variety of fantastic beers. Check out Great Flats Brewing in Schenectady, or Blue Collar Brewery if you’re planning to spend some time in Poughkeepsie.
