If you are looking for a New York hiking trail that is the perfect balance of fun and challenging, then it’s time to check out the Reeves Brook Loop Trail, which is located at Harriman State Park near the town of Sloatsburg, New York. The trail starts at the Reeves Meadow trailhead parking area, with enough parking to accommodate around 20 cars. The trail is ideal for visiting between the months of April and November. If you happen to have a dog, bring them along! They can even be off-leash in certain areas of the trail.

There are three components to the trail: red, orange and blue. The blue trail guides you through what is perhaps the most scenic part of the trail, which features a beautiful overlook. The orange trail is very short, while the red trail has plenty of great scenery—you even cross a swimming hole.
