Winter is a season that tends to be a bit bittersweet here for us in Buffalo. As residents of the Queen City, we’ve grown accustomed to the harsh realities of winter and the fact that we often have to bid farewell to some of our favorite attractions and activities. Thankfully, one of our favorite restaurants has found a whimsical way to extend their rooftop patio season and we couldn’t be more excited. See for yourself!
Located right on Ellicott Street, Tappo Restaurant has been open since 2013 and has become one of our go-to Italian restaurants in town.
From cozy booths that are great for romantic nights out to large tables that can accommodate the entire family, it's amazing how much seating you'll find throughout this one restaurant.
Let's also not forget that Tappo is also known for creating specialty cocktails and drinks that will entice you to check out this restaurant even further.
One of Tappo's biggest draws, though, is the amazing rooftop patio. It’s a place that Buffalonians flock to during the summer to enjoy drinks and stellar views of the city.
So, if you've seen these magical rooftop igloos in other cities and have been dying to check them out yourself, your wait is over! Tappo Restaurant has officially brought this amazing attraction to the city of Buffalo.
Here's what you should know: this is the first year that Tappo has ever featured rooftop igloos, but they've already become a popular feature. The restaurant owners have said that they're excited to use the igloos as a way to extend their rooftop patio season, with plans to make use of the igloos during early spring and fall in the future.
All six of the electrically heated igloos feature Bluetooth speakers, twinkling lights, zippered doors to keep the warmth locked inside, and tables that fit eight people. To find out more about Tappo's new igloos and how you can reserve one for yourself, visit the restaurant’s website here.
