As local travel experts, we know what travelers are looking for when it comes to finding the perfect accommodations for their next trip. To compile our lists, we scour the internet to find properties with excellent ratings and reviews, desirable amenities, nearby attractions, and that something special that makes a destination worthy of traveling for.
One of the many perks that we get to enjoy as Buffalonians is the fact that we live so close to so many amazing natural wonders that can be found all around Western New York. Most of the scenic attractions that are closest to us make for the most memorable of day trips, but what if we told you that you could spend the night camping right near not one but five waterfalls? If you think this sounds too good to be true, then keep scrolling to make your dreams come true!
Out in the small village of Dansville, Sugar Creek Glen Campground is a privately-owned campground that will leave you speechless.
The campground sits right along Sugar Creek Glen in Livingston County, where all around the campground you'll be surrounded by five stunning waterfalls.
Campers can choose which Sugar Creek Glen sites will work best for them, with both Rustic Tent Sites and Tent Sites equipped with water and electric available.
I mean, have you ever camped along the waterfront like this? I'm currently in heaven just thinking about how easy it is to fall asleep here with the sound of the moving water just steps away from where you're sleeping!
Sugar Creek Glen has its own memory garden that overlooks one of the many waterfalls, a Rec Hall that has arcade games, and even a pirate-worthy playground made up of wooden ships and castles.
Of course, you'll find that during the warmer months guests prefer to spend most of their time cooling off in the swimming holes along the creek, hiking through the glen, and swimming at the base of breathtaking waterfalls.
