Some of the best attractions that you’ll find around the Queen City are ones you may have passed by numerous times; they’re hiding in plain sight and places you never knew were right in your own backyard. Tucked between the buildings that line Ellicott Street in Buffalo, one of our favorite restaurants will transport you to an entirely different part of the country with its phenomenal southern cuisine and warm ambiance. See for yourself!
Chef James Roberts channeled his Louisiana roots to bring southern flair to Buffalo through his restaurant, Toutant.
When you first walk into the three-story eatery, you'll be greeted by a huge bar stocked full of an extensive list of moonshine, whiskey, bourbon, as well as local cider, beer, and wine.
On their main menu, you'll find southern classics like Jambalaya, Hush Puppies, Nashville Hot Chicken, Boutique Oysters, Fried Shrimp Poboy and other flavorful dishes.
Local and seasonal ingredients elevate the traditional dishes to an upscale southern comfort food dining experience. No matter what you order, you’ll be hooked after just one bite.
Toutant brunches are made up of everything from mouthwatering cinnamon rolls and freshly baked biscuits to in-house smoked bacon, crispy hash browns, and omelets.
If you're ready to enjoy a memorable dining experience that will make you feel like you've stepped into a small slice of Louisiana, head on over to Toutant on Ellicott Street.
