The museum holds the title of the largest railroad and toy train museum in New York State. One glimpse at the model setup that sprawls throughout the museum and you'll be amazed!

The history of this train park is almost as interesting as the museum itself! It was originally a small stone station, expanded to fit the needs of manufacturing companies with freight trains, and eventually sold in the 1960s after the decline of the railroad. At that time, the building was used as a warehouse for a local furniture shop until the owners retired in 1991.
It was then purchased by the current owner of the Medina Railroad Museum, Marty Phelps, who transformed the building into what it is today!

While there are several model trains to see, the Medina Railroad Museum also still has the real deal! Grab your tickets to sit inside the rail cars and experience a train excursion like back in the good ol' days.

There's no urgency to be had at the Medina Railroad Museum. But be warned: you will be tempted to act fast in order to take it all in. See what we mean in the video below, shared by the Medina Railroad Museum on YouTube.
