Winter vacation, for most of us, may be coming to an end, but that doesn’t mean that the fun has to stop! If you are itching to find the ultimate day trip to take outside of Buffalo, then all you’ll have to do is take an easy drive to the east. Full of fascinating history, delicious restaurants, scenic parks, and quaint shops, you’ll find everything you could ever need right here in this one town.
Just 20 minutes outside of Buffalo, the tiny town of East Aurora is home to roughly 6,000 residents and is overflowing with charm.
The quaint little town has everything you could imagine, looking like a page out of a storybook during the wintertime when everything's freshly dusted in snow.
There are actually quite a few ways to enjoy the outdoors in East Aurora during this time of year! Visitors can also stop by the Healthy Zone Rink for some ice skating.
If you'd rather stay cozied up inside and away from the cold weather, plan on heading indoors to places like the Aurora Theater, where you can catch a movie and warm up inside.
Another amazing reason to head inside when you're in East Aurora is to explore the world's largest 5 & 10 store - Vidler's! The store covers 16,000 square feet and has over 75,000 items for you to peruse.
East Aurora is also full of history, with fascinating places like the Roycroft Campus, which dates back to the 1800s and is just waiting to be explored.
