Around this time of year, you’ll find two different kinds of Buffalonians that make up the Queen City. The first is a resident who’s doing everything to cling onto summer, keeping their sandals out and jackets tucked away in storage with no sign of them making an appearance anytime soon. The other kind of resident is one whose home is already covered in fall decor, overwhelmingly smells of pumpkin spiced anything, and is ready to sport flannels anywhere and everywhere. With that said, there are certain seasonal outings that bring these two groups of people together – one of them being a downright exciting corn maze. Check it out!
Located along Niagara Falls Boulevard in North Tonawanda, you'll find The Maize; Western New York's original corn maze.
Each fall, this eight-acre cornfield is transformed into a themed maze that is amazingly fun to get lost in. The 2018 theme is "Pirates of the Corn-ibbean."
The Maize is now open and you can make your way through the twists and turns through October 31st. Visit on Tuesday - Thursday from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m., Friday & Saturday from 10 a.m. to 11 p.m., and Sunday from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Maize is closed on Mondays.

General admission is $12 and free for children under the age of three. Admission gives you access to two different mazes filled with interactive games.
If you plan on visiting with younger, smaller Buffalonians, there's a Treasure Map Maze for kids that only costs $3.

On weekends between September 15 - October 28, you can also visit the Pumpkindom - a family attraction for kids featuring more than 30 activities, rides, and games.
Pumpkindom is open from noon to 6 p.m. and costs $12 for kids ages 3-12 and $6 for adults (children under 2 are free). Admission gives unlimited access to all of the activities offered!
Tickets for these activities cost $1 each (or 12 for $10).
One of the most exciting ways for you to dive into the season and enjoy The Maize is to attend one of their Flashlight Nights, where you can explore the maze in the dark from dusk to 11 p.m.
This nighttime adventure definitely kicks the challenge up a notch and will make the hair on the back of your neck stand up as you do your best to navigate through New York's Corn-ibbean.
This fantastic fall attraction is easy to find and great for the entire family, so don't let another year go by without experiencing The Maize in North Tonawanda!
Tickets are cash-only and purchased at the gate, so come prepared! (There is an ATM on-site if you forget). For more information about The Maize, visit the official website here.
