As one of the many areas within New York State and the rest of the world to be hit by the COVID-19 pandemic, Buffalonians now more than ever are finding themselves with a usual amount of time to reflect on why they love this city so much. While we practice social distancing and self-quarantine ourselves inside our Queen City homes, it’s time to take a moment to discuss some of the little things that we’ll never take for granted again. Take a look.
1. Seeing crowds down at Canalside and all along the city's waterfront.
Before the COVID-19 pandemic, heading down to Buffalo's waterfront and finding people by the masses may not have always been the most appealing sight. Now, Buffalonians have learned to appreciate crowds the tough way.
2. Being able to go for a hike without worrying about coming within six feet of another Buffalonians.
Residents of the Queen City are aware that social distancing doesn't mean that you have to stay inside all day long, so you'll want to be sure to step outside to enjoy the sunlight on a regular basis. What the latest pandemic has changed, though, is the worry of coming in close contact with another one of our residents.

3. Walking through the doors of our favorite attractions.
If there was ever a time that allowed you to truly appeciate all that you can do here in the city of Buffalo, it's during a city-wide lockdown. Cooped up inside all day with not much to do, residents of Buffalo now more than ever are missing the privilege of being able to simply walk into our favorite attractions in the city.

4. Let's the be real... the sight of fully-stocked toilet paper shelves.
While you can still support many of your favorite local Buffalo businesses during these trying times, you can't actually go inside and sit down in dining rooms to enjoy a meal - and that has surprisingly been more devastating than we would've previously imagined! Anyone else tired of dining in their own kitchen?
7. Tailgating, tailgating, and some more tailgating.
Our favorite way to practice the exact opposite of social distancing, there's nothing we currently miss more than gathering together to see our favorite Buffalo teams play.
8. Celebrating and enjoying our local festival and parades by the masses.
Again, how are we supposed to enjoy our favorite parts of Buffalo if we're forced to stay indoors and away from others? We're ready to put this COVID-19 pandemic far behind us.

9. Simply being able to hug, chat, and embrace our fellow Buffalonians.
So, what little things are you going to appreciate more now than you did before the COVID-19 virus swept the city of Buffalo? Be sure to tell us in the comments.
