Now that spring is here, it means that it’ll be Easter (and Dyngus Day) before we know it! There are plenty of exciting Easter egg hunts taking place throughout the City of Buffalo; however, those who are looking to celebrate in a truly unusual way should take a peek at this one-of-a-kind egg hunt that adds a little spooky fun to the tradition. If you can muster up the courage to step inside this creepy old asylum, you’ll find an adults-only egg hunt that will send a shiver down your spine!
If you head just an hour outside of Buffalo to the small town of East Bethany, you’ll discover one of the most haunted locations in Western New York: Rolling Hills Asylum.
While it’s a popular spot to visit for guided ghost tours - especially around Halloween - most people don’t know that the former asylum also hosts a uniquely creepy springtime event.
Each egg hidden throughout the eerie property can be redeemed for a unique prize, including Rolling Hills Asylum merchandise and even some actual paranormal detection equipment.
As this is a particularly creepy egg hunt, the event is open to adults only. The hunt begins at 7 p.m. and participants will be able to roam the grounds until 1 a.m.
The Rolling Hills Asylum's Adult Easter Egg Hunt has been a huge hit in past years, so tickets are sure to sell out before the event. Admission also includes a tour of the asylum, as well as hot coffee and tea to keep you alert all night long.
