When it comes to craving something delicious and savory, there’s no better city to live in than Buffalo. With an ample amount of wings at the ready and incredible sandwiches like Beef on Weck all around us, it’s impossible to go hungry in the Queen City. If you’re ready to feast away on unforgettable food but haven’t been sure of where to look, then try heading just north of your neighborhood to get a taste of what this one small-town barbecue joint is really made of.
Please note, Smoke on the Water is permanently closed.
Tucked between Young Street and Ellicott Creek in Tonawanda, Smoke on the Water is less than 15 miles north of the city of Buffalo.
For starters, try the Ahi Tuna Tacos, Soft Pretzel Sticks, Coconut Crusted Tiger Shrimp, Creole Deviled Eggs, or the finger-licking good Smoke on the Water Chicken Wings.
However, the most popular appetizer of all is the "Hand Grenade" - a smoked pork-stuffed potato that’s loaded up with cheddar cheese, jalapeños, sour cream, scallions, and barbecue sauce!
As tasty as all of those starters are, you'll want to make sure to save room for main dishes, like sandwiches served on Costanzo's Kaiser Rolls with Voodoo Fries...
Another thing you’ll notice on almost every table? Smoke on the Water’s famous Nickel City Mac & Cheese, which comes topped with scallions, a bit of barbecue, and Goldfish Crackers!
