It’s no surprise that Buffalo is known, in part, for our food. From wings to beef on weck and everything in between, Buffalonians know what’s good when it comes to indulging. Chances are, you love these spots, and if you’ve ever welcomed an out-of-town guest, it’s likely you’ve referred them to one (or all) of these places, too. Here are 9 irresistible restaurants that define Buffalo.
We'll start with the original. Anchor Bar is credited with inventing the chicken wing, and we sure are grateful they did! You can find Anchor Bar wings basically anywhere around the Queen City, which is awesome because you never know when the mood will strike!
Pearl Street Grill & Brewery is another restaurant that defines Buffalo, partly because it stands apart from the crowd with the large patio and rooftop statue. The atmosphere here is totally Buffalo – warm, welcoming, and admittedly a bit loud on occasion. The food at Pearl Street does not disappoint!
Chef's is one of the most iconic Buffalo restaurants. I you haven't yet tried their pasta, you're seriously missing out. Head here to read about our favorite dishes!
Another great spot to hit up if you're in the mood for wings (and face it, when are we not?) is Duff's. This restaurant is a Buffalonian favorite, with several locations to choose from. Their wings are the perfect balance of saucy and spicy!
This restaurant defines Buffalo, even though it's technically located outside city limits. A quick trip into East Aurora is always worth it, especially when you stop at Bar Bill for a meal! Don't leave without trying the beef on weck and – you guessed it – an order of wings!
If you can say Mighty Taco without singing the jingle, are you really a Buffalonian? This isn't your average sit down restaurant, but we'll drive through Mighty any day for a burrito!
Ted's tastes like summer year round, and their hot dogs are an iconic Buffalo specialty. It might not sound like anything special, but once you sink your teeth into a char-grilled hotdog from Ted's, you'll never go back!
Ulrich's Tavern is one of the oldest taverns in Buffalo, and it's not hard to see why they're able to withstand the test of time. The food here is everything you expect from tavern fare – and more. Plus, the atmosphere is incredibly interesting!
Last but not least, Coles! This iconic Buffalo restaurant was voted to have the "Best Buffalo Bar Food" and we have to agree. Stop in for a Bloody Mary or try one of the daily specials. Whatever you decide, you won't be disappointed!
