Out along the Niagara River, the Peace Bridge connects Buffalo to Canada's Fort Erie.

The 5,800-foot bridge spans across the river and features five photogenic arches that create an easily recognizable man-made wonder.

Aside from just viewing the bridge as you drive along I-190, there are quite a few other ways you can visit Buffalo's Peace Bridge.

Head to the southern end of Unity Island to begin your waterfront adventure. This historic area is decorated with informational signage that will give you a greater insight into Buffalo's history.

After crossing the noteworthy West Ferry Street Bridge, leave your car at Broderick Park and begin to walk towards the Peace Bridge and the southern end of the island.

The historic Bird Island Pier was constructed in the 1880s and continues to take Buffalonians and out-of-town visitors out onto the Niagara River today. It's over a mile long!

You'll be able to walk right out underneath the Peace Bridge, surrounded by the vibrant hues of the Niagara River and secluded away from the hustle and bustle of the shoreline. It's quite a unique perspective!

As much as we love walking out on the Bird Island Pier, the elevated views you'll see when walking across Peace Bridge are quite stunning too - if you are willing to put up with the wind.
