This Is The Oldest Place You Can Possibly Go In Buffalo And Its History Will Fascinate You
The City of Buffalo has a lot of history. The 716 is home to several famous figures, inventions, and buildings, and while most of the historically relevant events in Buffalo took place after the city’s incorporation in 1832, there are some things worth seeing from well before that date. This is the oldest place you can possibly go in Buffalo – and its history will fascinate you.

The home was built years before Buffalo was even considered a city.

The Coit House is over 4,500 square feet in size with five bedrooms and three bathrooms.

The Coit House was almost demolished in the 1970s. It changed hands a couple times before being sold to the Allentown Association in 1999. The association originally planned to create a museum in the space.

The home was sold to its current owners in 2014. Since that time, they have spent countless hours and dollars renovating and restoring the Coit House.

Every once in a while, the current owners open the Coit House up for tours. Stay tuned to the local news and The Coit House of Buffalo Facebook page for information on future events. Until then, feel free to take a stroll down Virginia Street to walk by the house and get a glimpse.

If you do stop by to see the exterior, please remember to honor the privacy of the homeowners and mind your manners!
