As Buffalonians, we’re no strangers to unusual roadside attractions. For instance, our never-ending debate about whether or not we all collectively love or hate Shark Girl. If you’ve ever taken a look beyond our dainty little underwater lady in blue by Canalside, then you also know that New York has some pretty unusual homes that manage to draw in crowds of onlookers and compel you to do a double take.
From the famous Mushroom House out in Monroe County to Just Room Enough Island where you’ll find a house that almost looks as though it’s floating right on the St. Lawrence River, there are plenty of residential homes that have become the talk of their towns. But why travel far when you can find one that sits just 20 minutes north of the Queen City? Take a quick drive up to Niagara Falls and you’ll discover one of America’s most eye-catching homes.
Surrounded by homes that blend in with the rest of the neighborhood, Prophet Isaiah's Second Coming House stands out like a wondrous sore thumb that's been wrapped in a quirky bandage.
According to Isaiah, God spoke to him, telling him that the Second Coming would begin at the great Niagara Falls in 2014. The cascading falls would become the Lake of Fire, but Isaiah could become a prophet and save souls destined for destruction by creating a colorful beacon to attract those who wished to be saved.

The detailed designs covering the exterior of the house and property are far more intricate that you may initially realize.
Those lucky enough to have met him speak highly of his friendliness and willingness to share his story. Isaiah has a personality as vibrant as his home, and he warmly welcomes visitors who stop by. Though 2014 has come and gone, Isaiah’s marvelous masterpiece still stands in all of its colorful glory for others to enjoy.
If you've yet to see this unique house for yourself, you’ll find it at 1308 Ontario Avenue in Niagara Falls.
