We’ve mentioned before that here in Buffalo, we’re quite close to some of New York State’s best outdoor attractions — but not all of these adventures are suitable for everyone. Whether you only have a short amount of time to enjoy these natural wonders or you’re simply looking to enjoy an adventure that won’t leave you completely drained, there’s one park in Erie County that you’ll absolutely love during this time of year. With our waterfalls begin to beautifully rage with spring’s rain and winter’s cold conditions melting away, now is the perfect time to plan a trip to this enchanting park.
Roughly a half-hour away from us here in Buffalo, Akron Falls Park is a true gem of Erie County.
The entire park covers just more than 280-acres, made up of magical playgrounds that even includes a Cinderella pumpkin to play on as well as a charming Rock Garden.
A great park for all ages to explore, the short but sweet interconnecting trails of the park are well-marked so you'll never have to worry about getting lost.
With plenty of areas to sit and enjoy the scenery, you'll find that it's easy to spend the entire day here and that the park makes for a wonderful place to enjoy a picnic.
Always breathtaking to see during the spring when the water levels are usually at their highest, Akron Falls flows down 40-feet and will leave you in awe.
