The nights are getting colder and the days are slowly but surely getting shorter – it could only mean one thing: fall is arriving in Western New York! All around the city of Buffalo, you can find beautiful, secluded places to explore that will leave you surrounded by our amazing fall foliage. If you’re wondering what short but sweet trails will lead you to our local breathtaking views, then be sure to go for a charming little hike at Stiglmeier Park.
Not all of us Buffalonians have the time or energy to go for a long, exhilarating hike. If you're ready to take on something short but rewarding, it's time we show you this little park.
Stiglmeier Park also happens to be a popular place to visit for wildlife viewing, with creatures like beavers, white-tailed deer, woodchucks, coyotes, mink, raccoons, opossums, muskrats, chipmunks, and a wide variety of birds known to call this place home.
With so many different places to escape to, you'll find that the trails take you through mature climax forests, meadows, young aspen woods, floodplains, and even a cattail marsh!
