In case you weren’t already aware, here in New York each March we highly anticipate the arrival of our state’s Maple Weekends. With more than 180 farms and museums all throughout the Empire State that highlight and feature delicious maple products, there are so many fantastic stops that you can make around this time of year when you’re craving this particular product. Previously here at Only In Buffalo and Only In New York, we’ve mentioned how, not too far from our city, you can find complete maple wonderlands like Sprague’s Maple Farms, but there’s one more maple-themed destination here in Western New York that’s equally as tasty and even more exclusive that you’ll want to visit this season. Keep reading to see where we’re talking about!
Taking you southeast of Buffalo to Allegany County, Cartwright's Maple Tree Inn is a delicious eatery that's exclusively open for only two months out of each year.
Officially open for the 2020 season, Cartwright's Maple Tree Inn is open for business between February 11 and April 11 - so now's the time to make you trip out here!
With lines that have consistently been going out the door since 1963, this little maple utopia is more than worth the 70-mile drive it takes to get out here from Buffalo.
Each year, people from all around Western New York and beyond make their way out to this small-town restaurant to eat delicious food and shop for maple products.
At this family-owned and operated business — aside from the crowd and warm, rustic charm that's inside Cartwright's Maple Tree Inn — you'll also notice a jaw-dropping amount of pancakes being cooked up!
Putting your appetite to the ultimate test, these pancakes are some of the best you'll ever taste in Western New York and will give you the best bang for your buck when it comes to maple-themed dining.
Alongside the panckes, you'll also find things like Eggs, Sausage Patties, Ham, Burgers, and Sandwiches on the menu and they even have maple desserts like Cheesecakes with Maple Cream, Maple Sundaes, and Maple Brownie Sundaes. How delicious does this all sound?
Before you depart, you'll want to shop for Cartwright's maple products while you can for the year. Trust us, you won't want to leave here empty-handed.
