For years, Downtown Buffalo featured one of the largest antiquarian bookshops in the entire country, which drew people from around the globe to come to explore. Recently, Old Editions Bookshop moved from its home in a multi-level warehouse to a new location just outside of the city, where the entire inventory is more easily accessible in a single-story shop. This bookworm’s paradise has taken over the former Platter’s Chocolate building, and we think you’ll love exploring its new home!
Now officially residing in North Tonawanda, Old Editions Bookshop sits inside of a 12,000-square-foot space located just 20 minutes north of Buffalo.
Over the last few months, Old Editions has been transferring truckloads of their inventory over to the spacious new shop, filling shelves with stories, tales, and tomes.
If you ever visited the downtown location, you know that such a move is quite an undertaking! As Old Editions continues to move into its new space, you'll still be able to find all of the gems that you did at their previous location.
The new shop is a bit different than what we were used to at the downtown location, but the store's new space makes it all the more exciting to go treasure hunting.
Whether you’re looking for a new paperback to transport you away to the world within its pages, gifts for your favorite bookworms, or want to explore a piece of Western New York history, you’ll find everything you need (and more!) at Old Editions Bookshop.
Old Editions Bookshop is now located at 954 Oliver St., North Tonawanda, NY 14120 and is open Monday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. To learn more about the bookshop, visit its website here.
Whether you’re a longtime fan of Old Editions Bookshop and have yet to visit their new space or just now discovering this literary wonderland for the first time, set aside a few hours this weekend to come to sift through the amazing gems filling the shelves at this one-of-a-kind book warehouse.
