If you’re thirsty for a unique weekend getaway, we found the perfect spot! Travel an hour south of Buffalo and you’ll discover a wonderful small town with lots to offer, but our favorite part is a beautiful craft brewery that just might be the best in America. Ellicottville, known as “the Aspen of the East,” attracts Western New Yorkers and visitors from all over throughout the year, but if you have yet to stop by this brewery, you’re missing out!
Ellicottville Brewing Company, located on Monroe Street, is one of the best breweries in Western New York… if not the entire country.
Opened in 1995, the brewing company has expanded greatly over the years, and their tasty brews have not gone unrecognized. In fact, they’ve won quite a few impressive awards.
The brewery is open all year long and offers tours for visitors to get a behind-the-scenes peek at the fascinating brewing process, what goes into crafting the creative brews, and you’ll get a souvenir glass to take home with you.
During the tours, you’ll see what an authentic Hungarian brewing system looks like and have a chance to sample some of Ellicottville's best brews (if you’re age 21+). One sip and you’ll taste exactly what so many people love about this place.
Though Ellicottville Brewing Company specializes in making beer, they also serve up some flawlessly executed appetizers, like loaded brewer tots, pierogis, and mega meatballs.
Ellicottville Brewing Company is located at 28 Monroe Street, Ellicottville, NY 14731 and is open Monday through Thursday from 11:30 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday through Sunday from 11:30 a.m. to 10:30 p.m.
For more information and a peek at the menu, visit the Ellicottville Brewing Company website and follow along on their Facebook page.
