If you love surrounding yourself with the beauty of nature, Erie County is an amazing place to be. We recently highlighted an easygoing hike through an enchanting forest at the nearby Burchfield Nature Center, and today, we’re featuring another gorgeous oasis right here in the Queen City. When you’re looking to immerse yourself in lush greenery, there’s no better place than Buffalo’s own botanical garden, which has several amazing events coming up this summer! Check it out:
With a history dating all the way back to 1900, Buffalonians have long been enjoying all that the Buffalo & Erie County Botanical Gardens have to offer.
The gardens encompass nearly 12 acres, and you'll feel like you’ve been stepped into a fairytale from the moment you arrive at the breathtaking Victorian glass houses.
Drawing in upwards of 100,000 visitors each year, people from all around Western New York and beyond come to see all the different plants and flowers that are housed within the gardens.
As you begin to wander through the different buildings and walkways, you'll pass by everything from exotic flowers in the Tropical Collection to wonders from the Florida Everglades.
Other amazing areas show off the plant life from different regions and ecosystems, including the Aquatic Garden, Asian Rain Forest, and an entire area designated to Cacti & Succulents.
