For those who don’t live right within the Queen City, you may be surprised to hear that Buffalo’s Ball Drop is considered to be the second largest in the country. Putting on a magnificent display for all to see on the final day of the year, thousands of residents from all around Western New York come to ring in the new year in an unforgettable way. This year marks the 31st anniversary of Buffalo's spectacular New Year's Eve Ball Drop & Fireworks.

The show takes place at the Iskalo Development Electric Tower, drawing thousands of people to come to the heart of Downtown to see the amazing display while ringing in the new year. Over the years, the ball drop has become one of the most exciting events to experience in Buffalo and is now known as the country's second largest ball drop.

The festivities will begin with a performance by saxophonist Will Horton at 10 p.m., followed by performances from Tommy Z and The All-Star Band. As midnight draws closer and closer, you'll find the crowd growing larger in the streets surrounding the Electric Tower.

If you won't be making use of the increased metro rail and bus service on New Year’s Eve, free parking will be available at Buffalo Civic Auto Ramps, Main Place Mall, and the Fernbach Ramps.
