As much as we love to discover new restaurants that are always popping up all across the Empire State, there’s nothing quite like discovering a culinary gem that’s been up and running for generations. Bringing you out to Western New York to where you’re less than a half-hour outside of the city of Rochester, it’s time to see for yourself why so many people have continued to visit Barber’s Grill and Tap Room over the years here in our state. Take a look!
Right on Main Street in the heart of Brockport, Barber's Grill and Tap Room has been operating in New York since 1929.
Since first opening up 90 years ago, not too much about the restaurant has changed, with the same pressed tin ceilings and wall decor that's been around for ages.
On the menu, you'll find all sorts of local eats that have come out of Western New York, but it's Barber's Balboa sandwiches that really get stomachs rumbling around here. Served on finger-licking-food toasted garlic bread with a pickle that comes in varieties like the Moody Buffalo, Texas, Bologna, Reuben, Hot Italian, Poutine, and Old Timer Balboas.
You'll also be able to feast away on other things off of Barber's menu like the Buffalo Sausage and Pepper Bites, Poutine, Fried Pickle Chips, Buffalo Ravioli, Macho Nachos, Fried Mac ‘N Cheese Wedges, Pizza Rolls, Loaded Waffle Fries...
