Both a delicious and exciting way to spend the day outside, New York’s food festivals come in all sorts of varieties and themes. Last year the city of Syracuse had the honor of hosting its first Bacon Festival that was a huge hit and will be happening once again this summer. If you missed out on last year’s festivities, here’s your chance to try to chow down on some amazing bacon-infused dishes that will blow you away!
Taking place right in Clinton Square in Downtown Syracuse, the 2nd annual Bacon Festival is coming back to New York this summer.
Last year vendors arrived creating things like Bacon Milkshakes, Bacon-Wrapped Scallops, Bacon-Flavored Kettle Corn, and classics like Bacon Mac 'n' Cheese.
But if you aren't interested in the extravagant bacon dishes, you'll find plenty of strips of bacon that you can snack on by themselves as you walk around the festival!
Happening this year on August 18th from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. whether it's rain or shine, you'll want to arrive as early as you can to beat the long lines and grab all the bacon dishes before they're gone.
After shoving your mouth full of all sorts of bacon treats, at some point you'll begin to feel thirsty. Last year the festival featured crowd-pleasing wine slushies that visitors couldn't get enough of and local craft beer to enjoy. With bacon everywhere, live music, and games, this is one day full of fun that you won't want to miss out on!
