When it comes to going thrifting or shopping for antiques, you’ll find that most areas throughout our state offer a nice variety of stores to pick from. An often underrated region of New York to explore though is our Southern Tier, but don’t worry, we’ve found your latest reason to go and head down this way. Only a half-hour west of the city of Binghamton, it’s time you explore the small town of Owego and get some one-of-a-kind shopping done.
In the small town of Owego down in Tioga County, the Early Owego Antique Center takes up an entire corner on Lake Street.
Those who visit the old department store today will see that the 21,000-square-foot building has been transformed into one of New York's best antique centers.
Bibliophiles will also be glad to hear that you'll be able to find rows upon rows of shelves that are filled with all sorts of books that are reasonably priced.
From vintage signs, furniture, knick-knacks, and kitchenware, to books, art, clothing, and true vintage treasures - you'll walk out of this place amazed.
So the next time you find yourself in need of a day trip or are out anywhere near the town of Owego, don't forget to go and check out the Early Owego Antique Center.
Early Owego Antique Center is located at 43-45 Lake Street, Owego, NY 13827 and is open Saturday, Sunday, Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., and Friday from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. To find out more about this antique shop, click here.
