Tucked away not far from the banks of the West Branch of the Ausable River where you’ll have beautiful views of the mountains, the Adirondack Wildlife Refuge and Rehabilitation Center sits on 50-acres of land.
The Adirondack Wildlife Refuge and Rehabilitation Center is a non-profit organization in the small town of Wilmington that’s dedicated to the wildlife rehabilitation and education - housing a variety of animals for visitors to see.
One of your favorite parts about your visit here will be getting to see the staff interact with the animals, showcasing just how much love and effort goes into running this refuge.
The Adirondack Wildlife Refuge also hosts a Wolf Gathering talk daily at 10 a.m., and an Understanding Bears talk throughout the day as well, where you can learn more about the incredible animals that are here.
