In 2017 we gave you a bucket list made up of eleven noteworthy places that you should make a point to visit during the year, and assuming you completed the entire list it’s now the perfect time to point you in the direction of some other fantastic attractions. 1. Revolution Rail - North Creek
Opening back up for the year again in May, North Creek's Revolution Rail caused quite the excited frenzy around New York in 2017. The highly-desired outdoor attraction gets adventurers to ride along railroad tracks with the help of self-propelled bikes that are great to enjoy with friends and family. Taking you through the Adirondack forest and over the Hudson River, each tour usually takes about two hours and is great for all ages.

2. Camp Hero State Park - Montauk
Located all the way out in the Long Island town of Montauk, Camp Hero State Park has become an even more popular place to visit over the last couple of years due to the Netflix series

3. Avalon Park and Preserve - Stony Brook
A beautiful park worth visiting out on Long Island, Avalon Park and Preserve is a privately owned park that makes a major effort to maintain such a beautiful outdoor space for locals. The charming park is home to a popular Labyrinth, nature trails and even its own Sky Lab. Like something out of your favorite movie, you'll be surprised to discover all the amazing quirks that make up this park.

4. The Strong National Museum of Play - Rochester
Also home to Upstate New York's only
Butterfly Garden that's open all year long, the Strong National Museum of Play is one of the most exciting museums to visit in our state. Making you feel like a kid again, the museum is home to things like the World Video Game Hall of Fame and the National Toy Hall of Fame! 5. Ausable Chasm - Keeseville
A great outdoor attraction to experience during every season, we can't help but have a sweet spot for visiting Ausable Chasm during our warm summer months. Considered to be America's oldest natural attraction, Ausable Chasm offers one of the most incredible lazy river experiences that you'll ever go on. Taking you right through the unique scenery of the Adirondacks, you'll make memories that will last you a lifetime at this gorgeous destination.

6. Wing's Castle - Millbrook
One of the most magical places you can visit (or stay at) in New York, the town of Millbrook is home to a hidden gem of a castle that will inspire you. Made up of over 500,000 stones, Wing's Castle is open for tours (made by reservation) and now also acts as a B&B. The history behind the castle is one that pulls at every New Yorkers heartstrings, taking over 40 years to create and leaving behind one of the Empire State's most magical works of art.

7. Beak & Skiff - Lafayette
Fall may feel like its worlds away but before you know it the crisp season will be right around the corner and you'll find yourself in search of the perfect apple orchard to visit. Considered to be one of the best in America, Beak & Skiff is so much more than your average orchard. On the property you'll be able to pick your own apples, visit the country store and bake shop, buy some vodka and gin to take home with you and even dine at the cafe!

8. Widow Jane Mine - Rosendale
A great outdoor adventure to take in the Hudson Valley when you're also interested in diving into some of our small town history, Rosendale once thrived on its cement manufacturing business. Now left for all to see, the abandoned mine will be open to visitors again in May and often hosts poetry readings and even concerts!

9. Moose Hillock Camping Resort - Fort Ann
One of the most unique and extravagant camping destinations that you'll find in the Adirondacks, Moose Hillock Camping Resort features amenities that you wish every campground came equipped with. Right up in Fort Ann where you're close to the village of Lake George and plenty of hiking spots, the campground features sites that are big enough for RV's and also has cabins that are available to rent as well. But some of the things that will make you fall head over heels for this place are things like its tropical-themed swimming pool, beach side cafe and themed weekends that are the host of fun events.

10. Taconic State Park - Copake Falls
A place that has become a summer tradition for many of us to visit, Taconic State Park can be found not too far from the Massachusetts border. One of the many reasons people come to visit this park is because not only will it lead you to a beautiful waterfall, you'll also get to walk across our state border in order to get there! Amazing for camping, hiking or simply enjoying the outdoors, there's lots to love about this particular state park that's family-friendly.

11. Pittsford Farms Dairy - Pittsford
Just outside of Rochester in the delightful town of Pittsford, the Pittsford Farms Dairy is one of our favorite small town places to visit. The historic farm has its own store that you can visit where you'll be able to shop around for amazing bakery items, milk, eggnog, gourmet pizza and deliciously good ice cream flavors. Usually leaving you with an arm full of goodies to bring back home with you, it's always an amazingly dangerous idea to arrive here on an empty stomach.

12. Mohonk Mountain House - New Paltz
Last year we talked about how the Mohonk Mountain House is home to one of New York's most unique beaches, and if you didn't manage to make it there last year you'll certainly want to plan a trip for 2018! The beautiful Victorian castle that overlooks Lake Mohonk features over 80-miles of hiking trails (like New York's
Lemon Squeeze hike) and a private beach that only those with access to the resort can enjoy.

13. Pratt Rock - Prattsville
Just over an hour southwest of Albany, the small town of Prattsville is where you can find New York's very own little Mount Rushmore. Right off of Route 23, a steep but scenic hike will lead you to stunning views of Schoharie Creek and the historic Pratt Rock stone carvings that remain today. Part of the National Register of Historic Places, Pratt Rock is said by many to be the earliest Civil War monument in America.

14. Thunder Rocks - Salamanca
Just one of the many amazing things that you'll find within New York's Allegany State Park, if you take the time to explore the Quaker Area you'll discover our famous Thunder Rocks. Similar to places like Olean's Rock City, New York's Thunder Rocks come in all different shapes and sizes and can be climbed up and fully explored. Often resembling animals, the unique rocks are scattered along the Bear Caves Trail and create our very own personal playground.
