Twirl started as a for-profit toy store in 2007 before transitioning to a non-profit organization in 2014. This play space supports children in Taos through creativity, play, and learning.

This community-driven play area is completely free, but if you'd like to support the organization, you can stop in at the toy store and get a book or toy that's exciting while still being educational.

The entire space at Twirl is absolutely beautiful. The toy store is situated in a 150-year-old adobe building, and the playroom is complete with a glass ceiling. Throughout the property you'll find ponds, murals, and even a secret staircase.

Outside you'll find an amazing jungle gym, water and sand areas, and even a climbing space. This is the perfect place for kids to be kids, so much that it's been voted Best Place for Kids to Have Fun in Taos for over seven years.

Twirl hosts many in-school and after-school programs as well as special events. Whether your child needs guided activities or free play, there's something for everyone here.
