Situated near Tijeras, this little hike to the hidden falls is only .5 miles each way and won't take too much out of you. This is the perfect hike to bring the kids along on.
On the way up to the waterfall, you'll find incredibly breathtaking views of the forest. The Land of Enchantment is vast from vantage points like these.
Once you begin to approach Travertine Falls, you'll find this awesome cave. You can explore around this beautiful wilderness that's full of hidden caverns and nature finds all around.
Travertine Falls is technically a seasonal waterfall, as the most movement is right after rainfall. However, even in the winter you'll find these frozen falls to be absolutely gorgeous.
