The Land of Enchantment is full of amazing history, and our restaurants are no exception. This restaurant is the oldest in Santa Fe and brings a charm and unique dining experience to Santa Fe Plaza that you won’t find elsewhere. With a rich history, an American dream, and green chile and gyros all under one roof, it’s no wonder this restaurant has become one of New Mexico’s most famous. Everyone from the locals to friends, and even celebrities love this little historic diner, and soon you will too.
Dan Razatos is a Greek immigrant who had a dream to run an incredible business. After taking ownership of The Plaza Cafe, he married a local woman and they had six children together. Ever since the Razatos family has been feeding New Mexicans and their children have helped make the restaurant the success it is today.
While keeping the traditional New Mexican fare that the original restaurant had, the family also added in Greek favorites like gyros and chicken fried steak.
There’s no other restaurant in which you can get blue corn green chile enchiladas, sopaipillas, and a big bowl of mashed potatoes or a Greek salad all under one roof.
Plaza Cafe also has a classic diner you can sit at, and serves up a delicious classic breakfast. Whether you want a simple cup of coffee, flufly pancakes, or anything in between, you’ll find it here and made to perfection with an incredible atmosphere to enjoy it in.
