Winter has a way of making some of our favorite places look even more charming. Perhaps it has something to do with the glistening snow, the twinkling Christmas lights, or all the food-centered festivities. Either way, we think it doesn’t take much for New Mexico’s towns and cities to look like a scene from a snow globe this time of year. Here’s a peek at a handful that are especially fitting of the designation.
New Mexico’s largest city also happens to be a bit of a hub when it comes to holiday decorations and festivities this time of year. However, there’s something about the historic sections that really brings out the charm and the same can be said for Albuquerque.
When a little town is located in the Rocky Mountains, it’s not hard for it to look adorable in winter. With its lovely scenery, plenty of snow, and epic skiing and tubing hills, this looks the spot for a playful snow globe.
With its parades, festive lights, and outdoor ice rink, we think this northern New Mexico town looks perfectly jolly during the holidays. Now just imagine it with snow gently falling in a perfectly peaceful scene.
This resort town in northern New Mexico also just happens to be the state’s snowiest town. Over the past 30 years, it has received at least 151 inches of snow, perfect conditions for a snow globe town! Add some adorable cabins and festive lights and you have the ideal snowy location.
