When looking for fall activities to embrace the leaves changing color, your first thought might not be to head to the ski hill. This one ski hill in Santa Fe, however, fully embraces the changing season and offers it’s high elevation to see the changing aspens from new perspectives. Besides taking a chair lift to new heights, you can also experience many fun fall activities at this New Mexico ski hill that transforms into a golden wonderland every autumn.
This magnificent ski hill in Santa Fe isn't always packed with powdery snow; in the fall, this hill turns into a colorful wonderland.
This ski hill also has an elevated disc golf course. At over 11,000 feet, it's one of the highest courses in the world. Even when chair lifts aren't in operation, you can still walk up the mountain and play 18 holes.
During September and October, Ski Santa Fe has scenic lift rides and other fall activities. Their coffee bar and cafe will be open, and there are various events all fall.
On the weekend of October 13th to 14th there will also be live music on the hill. This weekend is the perfect weekend to embrace the changing colors from new heights.
You might not think to visit a ski hill in autumn, but Ski Santa Fe truly embraces the changing leaves, and you can experience it from a new perspective.
Ski Santa Fe is located at 1477 State Hwy 475, Santa Fe, NM. Scenic chair rides run from 10a.m. to 3p.m., weather permitting.
