Summers in New Mexico are seriously hot, and it can be hard to choose the perfect place to cool off. This waterfall-fed pool in Carlsbad takes the cake when it comes to the perfect location for a hot summer day. With a 150-foot waterfall that keeps the wading pools beneath cool all day long, and a recreation area with the amenities you need, this is the perfect natural oasis to spend an entire hot desert summer day.
Sitting Bull Falls is simply the best place to be on a hot summer day.
Sitting Bull Falls are situated in a canyon high above these natural pools, and fall 150 feet down below. Not only are they keeping us cool, but they're absolutely gorgeous.
The Sitting Bull Falls Recreation Site can be found off of County Road 409 in the Lincoln National Forest.
