Ready to enjoy an elegant meal with just a touch of whimsy? If an afternoon tea sounds just like, well, your cup of tea, then you’re going to love visiting this one wonderful tearoom right here in New Mexico!
This is the St. James Tearoom, located right in the center of Albuquerque.
This charming little spot opened in 1999 as an opportunity for patrons to briefly escape the "tyranny of the urgent" by slowing down to enjoy some of life's pleasures. Here, you'll have the chance to enjoy a themed tea service that allows you to escape into another world.
The food and tea presented during each themed tea are carefully crafted to best capture the experience of the imagined world, whether it's some fancy treats that you might imagine your favorite Mr. Darcy snacking on...
When you decide to enjoy an afternoon tea, simply choose a parlor area to enjoy your meal with a few friends or select an area in the library for larger parties.
And, before you leave, you can visit their market for a variety of items to take home. You can choose from your favorite tea blends, beautiful china, children's toys, or even some wonderfully British trinkets.
The St. James Tearoom is located at 320 Osuna Road NE in Albuquerque. You can find details about their menu, hours of operation, and special events by visiting their website or Facebook page.
