Santa Fe is a place of history. Founded in 1610, it is the oldest city in New Mexico and is the oldest capital in the country. You’ll find one of the oldest houses in the country sitting here!

De Vargas Street House is often called the oldest simply because part of the foundation is from an ancient pueblo that dates to about 1200 AD. It’s estimated the rest of the house actually dates to 1646.
And the oldest church in the continental U.S.

The San Miguel Chapel was built around 1610 and much of the original adobe has been intact through all these centuries.
But Santa Fe’s fame isn’t just the history. It is a city steeped in art, where you’ll find it lining the streets.
