It’s no secret that New Mexico is a land filled with sweeping, beautiful views. But coat those landscapes with a dusting—or more—of snow and it easily looks even more captivating.
One location that transforms into a winter wonderland is New Mexico’s Rio Grande Gorge.
The Rio Grande Gorge is located approximately 10 miles west of Taos via Route 64. One of the best places to view this expansive canyon is with a visit to the Rio Grande Gorge Bridge, a drive that is less than 20 minutes from Taos. For more information about the gorge and bridge, be sure to read One Of The Highest Bridges In The Whole Country Is Right Here In New Mexico.
