Looking at the name alone, you might be wondering if this place is heaven or hell because of the contrasting symbolism between the two words. However, it takes just one look at the views here to decide between the two places.
Small and secluded, this tiny town sits about 19 miles southwest of Hatch and can be difficult to find on a map. You won’t find much in the way of attractions here, aside from a little bar called Middle of Nowhere, since the town only has a population of 12.

Located 10 miles east of Las Cruces, Organ is a small town with one heck of a strange name. Its name comes from the nearby Organ Mountains, named for the needles that resemble a pipe organ. The town is small, quaint, and can look like a bit of a ghost town to people driving through.

We’re not too sure where the name "Pep" came from but it certainly sounds like one energetic little place. On the contrary, it’s a quiet place surrounded by ranches and does not have an official population number.
Pie lovers rejoice! An entire town so dedicated to pie, its name came from a local pie bakery. Not only will you find a couple of fantastic pie bakeries but the town hosts an annual pie festival each September that has been going since the 1920s.

However, this town was named after a local store owner and is actually a quiet tiny town in the mountains. It’s easy to miss when driving on State Road 24 between Piñon and Cloudcroft but stop by to visit The Weed Store and Weed Cafe or their annual Bluegrass Festival held in July.
