Chile is serious business in New Mexico. Walk past any grocery store or restaurant in the height of chile season and you’re bound to catch a whiff of them roasting over a fire outside. The combination of smokiness, crisp flavors, and a surprising heat that would make any diner sweat bullets are exactly why you can find it as a primary ingredient in plenty of dishes.
One example? The green chile cheeseburger, New Mexico’s own iteration of an American favorite.
The restaurant has two original locations along I-40 - one in Laguna and the other in Rio Puerco - as well as a newer Albuquerque location on 12th Street.

While the roadside locations feature food that is quick and easy to eat on the go, the Albuquerque eatery slows down the experience and expands the menu. Enjoy a wider variety of burgers, hot dogs, salads, and shakes.
