New Mexico is filled with some incredible natural beauty and we think the best way to truly experience all the state has to offer is by hiking! You’ll find plenty of trails throughout the state, whether you’re looking for a hike that is long, short, a real workout, or something easy enough for the whole family to enjoy. Either way, you’ll encounter some beautiful views along the way.
However, if you’re up for a real challenge, then you may want to take note of one New Mexico hiking trail that spans the entire state.
You can learn more about hiking the Continental Divide National Scenic Trail—all 3,100 miles or just New Mexico’s 775 miles—by visiting their website, continentaldividetrail.org. On the website, you’ll find a series of maps, notices about any trail closures and conditions, and much more.
