Can you feel it in the air? Fall is officially here and that means New Mexicans around the state are getting ready to pull out their sweaters, sip on cider, and say goodbye to the summer heat.
Another way to get into the autumnal mood? Plan a trip to a local pumpkin patch! You’ll find quite a few around the state but one of our favorites is located about 30 minutes outside Albuquerque in a tiny town.
Located just off Interstate 40 in Moriarty, this family-owned working farm is home to 300 acres of fields, livestock, and, of course, a seasonal pumpkin patch.
Here, you’ll find sprawling fields filled with pumpkins ready for picking and plenty of picture opportunities with the family.
Once you’ve picked your perfect pumpkin, it will be measured for pricing. The cost can vary from pumpkin to pumpkin but most tend to range between $2 and $10.

Pumpkin picking isn’t the only activity you’ll do at McCall’s Pumpkin Patch! Hop aboard a work truck for an old fashioned hay ride…
Menu choices include mouthwatering BBQ, burgers, and freshly roasted sweet corn. If you’re craving some a little sweeter, they offer funnel cake, caramel apples, and homemade fudge.
Don’t forget to grab an old fashioned soda too! You can get yours in a souvenir mug.
Here, you’ll find all kinds of goods to take home: fall-themed decorations, country kitchen décor, and lots of homemade canned goods.
So, what are you waiting for? Buy your tickets and head on over for an unforgettable family experience!
McCall’s Pumpkin Patch is located in Moriarty, about 30 minutes east of Albuquerque via I-40. For details about hours, ticket prices, and more, visit the pumpkin patch’s website or Facebook page.
